Course objectives
The aim of the subject is to provide students with basic theoretical and practical information about specialized journals, to familiarize them with the differences between the field working with topics, resources and the field processing topics. The subject is led by the active participation of practitioners who bring experience into their daily work. The complexity of the course is based on the requirements of the application sphere, as elaborated in the market analysis.
Learning outcomes
After successful completion of the course students will be able to define the differences between the basic journalistic specializations and to have an overview of the products of these specializations in contemporary media. Graduates of the subject are able to use the acquired knowledge and skills in acquiring and selecting specialized topics and creating basic news journalistic materials of selected specializations.

Basic journalistic specializations by thematic areas (politics, foreign, economics, culture, sport). 3. Political journalism. 4. Foreign journalism. 5. Economic journalism. 6. Cultural journalism. 7. Sports journalism. 8. "Scientific" journalism or how to write about science. 9. Police and judicial intelligence. 10. "Military" news, news on military issues in peace and war. 11. Journalism in the field of health and social issues, news from education. 12. Area of ​​nature protection, ecology. 13. Travel journalism. 14. Hobby journalism. 15. Constructive journalism. 16. Journalism dealing with social issues. Activist journalism. 17. Corporate journalism. 18. Gonzo Journalism, slow journalism. Syllabus of Seminars: 1. Debate with a political journalist. 2. Teaching methods
Lectures and seminars, excursions, participation in press conferences, discussion with experts, study of prescribed literature. Simulated practical learning by doing. Mentoring from experts. Creating a media product. Project oriented learning. Developing teamwork.
Assessment methods
The course ends with a colloquium, a discussion about the subject matter. The prerequisite for passing the colloquium is the processing of seminar work in at least sufficient quality and its submission in the specified term.
