Syllabus
  • Informational macromolecules. Proteins (primary structure of polypeptides, secundary structure of polypeptides, higher structures, biologicaly functions of proteins, assembly of oligomeric proteins). Nucleic acids (primary structure of nucleic acids , base pairing, rare nucleosides, secondary structure of DNA, tertiary structure of DNA, conformation types , superhelicity and topology of double stranded DNA. Basic methods of molecular biology. Isolation of nucleic acids. Centrifugtion methods. Electrophoresis of nucleic acids. Enzymes used to analysis and modification of nucleic acids. Construction ofrestriction endonuclease maps. DNA cloning. Hybridization of nucleic acids. Polymerase chain reaction. DNA sequencing.
