Course objectives
Definition of protozoa, adaptation to parasitism, parasite cell biology, life cycles, sexuality, mechanisms of attachment, concept of species, taxonomy, morphology, biology and importance of main groups: Mastigophora, Opalinata, Sarcodina, Apicomplexa, Microspora, Ciliata, Myxozoa, Dinoflagellida, Euglenida, general principes of current taxonomy of parasitic protozoa and eucaryots.
