Syllabus
  • Diversity and systematics of parasitic athropods, classification and evolution of main groups: Crustacea, Acarina, Phthiaptera, Heteroptera, Diptera, Siphonaptera, origin of parasitism, evolution of haematophagy and endoparasitism, bionomy and life strategy of haematophagous arthropods, adaptations to haematophagy, adaptations of tissue and intestinal parasites, coevolution, internal environment of arthropods, defense mechanisms, ecology of transmission, population biology of vectors, importance of diseases.
