Course objectives
History of evolutionary thinking, origin of life on Earth, deterministic and stochastic evolutionary mechanisms, molecular evolution, adaptation and natural selection, evolution of behaviour, origin and evolution of sex, speciation, macroevolution, phylogenesis and palaeontology, evolutionary ecology, evolution of humans.
