Course objectives
The course should provide a review of all basic organ systems of animals, with emphasis on functional principles, development, and evolutionary background. The course is restricted to principal general schemes; descriptions of particular systems in respective taxa are provided in special courses dealing with phylogeny and systematics.

Written test (50 questions with three pre-defined answers, for 50 marks. Grade "excellent" for 46-50 marks, "very good" for 41-45 marks, "good" for 36-40 marks, "satisfactory" for 31-35 marks, "sufficient" for 25-30 marks, "failed" under 25 marks.
