Course objectives
Main objectives can be summarized as follows: introduce main determine features of bryophytes - anatomy and morphology features; use these features in determining; introduce most common bryophyte species;
Learning outcomes
After finishing this course, the student will:
- know the main biological features of bryophytes and understand their function;
- be able to use these features in bryophyte identification;
- know common species of bryophytes.

  • Anatomy and morphology features.
  • Thallose liverworts.
  • Leafy liverworts.
  • Acrocarpous mosses.
  • Pleurocarpous mosses.
  • Genus Sphagnum.
  • Often species of different habitats.
