Výuka je určena studentům mikrobiologie, případně studentům jiných oborů. Maximální počet studentů v praktiku je 12 (přednost mají posluchači mikrobiologie). Předpokladem zapsání předmětu je zkouška z molekulární biologie(Bi4020).

Course objectives
Methods of microorganisms analysis. Isolation of nucleic acids. Fragmentation of DNA molecules. Restriction enzymes. Analysis of nucleic acids using electromigration methods. Analysis of nucleic acids using chromatographic methods. Sequence analysis. Spectrophotometric analysis of nucleic acids. Hybridisation. Polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Methods of protein analysis. Chromatographic determination of microbial metabolites and bacterial cell components. Principes of quantitative analysis. Immunomagnetic and affinity based separation techniques in microorganisms diagnostics.
