Parasite-host systems, diversity of parasites, Protozoa - morphology, biology, classification, parasitic helminths - morphology, biology, classification, parasitic arthropods - morphology, biology, classification.

  • Introduction to special parasitology, main adaptations to parasitism, basic principles, definition and terminology. Distribution of parasites in animal kingdom, diversity of parasites, significance of parasites in nature. Subregnum: Protozoa - general characteristics and main adaptations for parasitism, clasification. Phyllum: Sarcomastigophora - general morphology, biology and classification, typical representatives, diseases, diagnostics. Phyllum: Apicomplexa - general morphology, biology and classification, typical representatives, diseases, diagnostics. Phyllum: Microspora - general morphology, biology and classification, typical representatives, diseases, diagnostics. Phyllum: Myxozoa - general morphology, biology and classification, typical representatives, diseases, diagnostics.
