Course objectives
Environmental microbiology - practice is composed from basic laboratory projects from environmental microbiology. Some of them are long term with duration in the course of all semester. Main objectives can be summarized as follows: design of experiments; methods for extraction of samples; imple,entation of some analysis; assessment of analysis
Syllabus
  • Winogradski column; Biochemical oxygen demand; Chemical oxygen demand (CHOD); Microbial biomass in soil; Determination of ATP of microbial biomass; Liter bag method for determination of activity of microorganisms; Fluorescent method of determination of bacteria in soil; Maintenance and isolation of denitrificators; Maintenance and isolation of bacteria with desulfurication activity; Determination of esterification activity of soil microorganisms; Isolation of degradation microorganisms.
