Course objectives
Morphology and cytology of yeast cell. Nucleus, mitochondria in buding and dividing cells. Sexual hybridisation. Mutation. Genetic modiffication in yeasts - exploitation in biotechnology. Taxonomy of yeast. Mycosis.
