Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The aim of the course is to train students to be able to present their research project: present results of their literature review, define a central hypothesis of their work and outgoing aims, clearly present methods and results of the realized experimental work using multimedial presentation, define conclusions and discuss them with colleagues. The course is a preparation for the defence of the bachelor thesis.
Learning outcomes
At the end od the course, students will have a knowledge about the structure of a multimedial presentation of a research project, will be able to apply it for the defence of his/her bachelor thesis and discuss own research results and results of his/her colleagues.
Syllabus
  • 1. Structure of the presentation of literature review and results of bachelor thesis: example presentation of a succesfullly graduated student. First slide, structure of theoretical part, hypothesis and aims of the thesis, results of experimental part including patial conclusions, final conclusion, acknowledgements. Defence of bachelor thesis, criteria of supervisor's and opponent's evaluation, preparation of answers to opponent's questions, role of the comission. Student's questions about bachelor thesis preparation. Short Presentations of master study programmes and their specializations by their guarrantors.
  • 2.-11. Students' presentation of literature review, central hypothesis and aims, method overview, preliminary experimental results of bachelor thesis and their conclusions. Questions of the opponent, teacher's comments, plenary discussion.
