Course objectives
Aim of the course is to introduce students to basic concepts and effects of physical phenomens on a human life and its living environment.
Syllabus
  • Matter structure and elementary particles.
  • ionizing radiation: electromagnetic spectra, particle spectra - definitions, measurent, units.
  • ionizing radiation: Applications - Nuclear reactions and energy, medical applications, detectors.
  • Mechanical waves - Sound and its effects.
  • Plasma and its environmental applications.
