Course objectives
The course is focused on the development of generally applicable socio-cultural and managerial skills needed for management practice, or teaching practice eventually.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to:
- Identify non-verbal and verbal communication elements, combine the appropriate use of both components in practice
- Describe perception biases and explain possible preventive strategies
- Create an independent presentation and professionally present on a professional or unprofessional topic
- Provide constructive feedback and also accept it asertively
- Describe basic theories of motivation and explain their use in everyday life and in the specific field of work
- Manage conflicting and challenging situations, practice rigorous strategies for coping with stress
- Describe the importance of individual roles for a team, consider team work in a wider context, apply knowledge of dynamics and phases of the emerging team in practice
- Efficiently plan and lead a meeting
- Effectively prepare for a job interview
