Course objectives
The aim of the course is to make namely the advanced PhD students familiar with the principles of processing research results to publication outcomes, and to provide students with an introduction to preparation of project applications. Critical analysis of practical examples of papers will be performed (assessing e.g., the adequacy of the methodology used and the correctness of the experimental design used, results and their reasonable interpretation). The lectures will be given by the heads of research teams from the Faculty of Science, MU, and CEITEC MU, and their guests from collaborating institutions in the Czech Republic and abroad.
Learning outcomes
at the end of the course students should be able:
to prepare a publication output or project application
to discuss research projects and results
to critically evaluate individual parts of research projects (e.g. methodics, goals)
to formulate own research projects.
Syllabus
