Course objectives
The course covers five areas representing basic human activities and applications in which we encounter Biochemistry daily. Within these fundamental areas, current trends in the field of Biochemistry will be discussed in a scientific-popular form, where only the basic knowledge of students acquired during their previous high school studies is taken into account. Individual professional topics will be discussed at the level of essential activities and processes that students encounter in their lives, and indeed, many of them are interested. The individual lectures are structured so that students are aware of the impact of these biological processes in many other directions representing historical events, the development, and progress of society, ethical issues, or environmental problems of humanity.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to orient himself in the possibilities of the application of biochemical knowledge and methods. It will enable the suitable choice of his future professional activity.
