Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of vector calculus, differential, and integral calculus on the level of the first semester is assumed.

The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The aim of this course is to supplement the course of electricity and magnetism, which is a part of the basic course of physics, with additional exercises. The problems solved in this course could be divided into two categories. The first one consists of problems aimed at basic methods needed for the course of electricity and magnetism. The second one consists of more complex problems, which try to illustrate electricity and magnetism on phenomena, which we encounter in everyday life.
Learning outcomes
The course should extend the abilities of the students to solve problems related to electricity and magnetism.
Syllabus
  • The course is devoted to solving problems related to electricity and magnetism. Some of the problems will be aimed at practicing basic methods needed in the study of electricity and magnetism (for example, curve, surface, and volume integrals). Some of the problems will be more complex and they will try to explain electricity and magnetism on phenomena and systems that we encounter in everyday life (such as a loudspeaker, a coil with an air gap, coaxial cable impedance).

Assessment methods
Each student will be handed a selected problem. The student must solve this problem and then present the prepared solution in class. Each student must present at least one problem in order to pass the course.
