Course objectives
Seminar devoted to standard mathematical calculus on the secondary school level, for the fundamental course of general physics. Complex numbers: algebraical, goniometrical and exponential expression, Euler ana Moivre formulas, branches of n-th root of a number, physical applications-module and phase of a quantity. Functions of a complex variable: single- and multiple-valued functions, module and argument, generalized definitions of elementary functions, properties of their real and imaginary parts. Combinatorics and probability: basic combinatorial notions, probablility, independent and eliminating phenomena, random quantities with discrete distribution. Fundamentals of geometry of 2-nd order curves and surfaces: equations in cartesian and general coordinates, graphs.
