Course objectives
Double and triple integrals, area and volume integrals. Methods of calculation, limits in double and triple integrals. Transformation of the variables, the Jacobi determinant. Physical applications. Surface integrals of the 1st and 2nd kind. Definition, basic properties, methods of calculation. Applications in physics. Integral theorems: the Stokes and the Gauss theorems, their application in physics. Eelements of the vectorial analysis: Scalar functions fo a vectorial variable, derivation in a direction, gradient. Vectorial functions of a vectorial variable: divergence, rotation. Differential operators in curvilinear coordinates. The Einstein summation rules. Integral theorems in vector forms. basic properties of sequences and series of numbers and functions. Convergence criteria. Power series, the Fourier series, their application in physics. the Fourier transformation, basic properties, application in physics.
