The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The aim of the lecture is to obtain knowledge of basics of the statistical physics and ability to apply statistical physics to basics physical problems.
Syllabus (in Czech)
  • 1. Mikrokanonické rozdělení 2. Kanonické rozdělení a aplikace: ideální plyn, Boltzmannův neideální plyn, viriálový a ekvipartiční teorém, soustava s konečnou maximální energií. 3. Grandkanonické rozdělení a aplikace: Boseho-Einsteinův plyn, Fermiho-Dirackův plyn a nízkoteplotní a vysokoteplotní limity 4. Matice hustoty 5. Boltzmannova rovnice a její aplikace

Lectures, tutorials, and homework.
Assessment methods
The teaching takes place in the form of lectures. The student has to solve three sets of problems. The final course requirements are the written and oral exam.
