Course objectives
The course contains an overview of electronic and vibronic structure of semiconductors, the concept of hterostructure and basic information on tchnologies for atomically flat interfaces. It deals comprehensively with quasiparticles in low-dimesnional structures, transport and optical properties. The main aim is at providing a sound orientation in the dynamically growing field of condensed matter research.
Syllabus
  • 1. Overview of electronic and vibronic structure of semiconductors. 2. Heterostructures. 3. Technologies for atomically flat interfaces. 4. Kvasiparticles in low-dimesnional structures. 5. Transport properties. 6. Optical properties. 7. Optoelektronic applications.
