Course objectives
The goal is to introduce the basic principles of electron microscopy, arrangement of electron microscope, and electron microanalysis. The subject is focused on application of the scanning electron microscopy and microanalysis of solid phases and the sample preparation for electron microscopy.
Learning outcomes
After passing the course, student will: -understand the basic principles of electron microscopy and microanalysis -familiarize the main pars of scanning electron microscope and their functions -be able to set the main parameters for operation of the electron microscope. -be able to choose the proper observation mode and proper analytický technique for a given sample to study.
