Course objectives
The course is focused on protein and DNA sequences comparison and alignment, sequence database search, motif analysis in protein families, phylogenetic analysis, protein structure prediction, complexity and nonlinear dynamics in biological systems, emergent properties, chaos and inherent characteristics of chaotic systems, cellular networks, metabolic pathways and metabolic control, genome scale modelling of metabolic networks and metabolic fluxes, computational tools for systems biology, elements of signal processing, data analysis in metabolite profiling. http://ncbr.chemi.muni.cz/interactions09/course_bioinf/
