Course objectives
The aim of the course is to improve the students´ academic skills, specifically giving a presentation, describing graphs and charts, understanding a technical text / presentation and writing an abstract.
Learning outcomes
After completing this course the student will be able to:
understand authentic texts/lectures on earth science
identify the main idea of a text /speech
summarize a scientific/earth science text
interpret the information from the text/lecture
use terminology of the course topics
define the terms of the course topics
describe tables and graphs
present a scientific topic using advanced presentation techniques
