Course objectives
The aim of the course is to teach students basic techniques of differential equations of first and second order, multivariable calculus, and elements of vector calculus. At the end of the course students will master basic techniques of calculus in several variables.
Learning outcomes
The student will master:
- to solve differential equations of the first and equations of the second order with constant coefficients;
- to use the concepts and tools of the differential and integral calculus of the functions in the several variables and of the vector calculus, in particular to find the extrema and to solve the basic integrals including the curve and surface integrals.
Syllabus
  • Differential equations of the first order
  • Differential equations of the second order
  • Calculus of several variable
  • Multiple integrals
  • Line integral
  • Surface integral
  • Basic notions of vector analysis
