  • Rings and modules: submodules, sums and products, direct and inverse limits.
  • Free and projective modules: semisimple rings, vector spaces. Tensor product.
  • Flat modules: Lazard's characterization.
  • Short exact sequances: the group Ext.
  • Injective modules: injective hulls.
