Syllabus
  • The two lectures form an introduction to the field of Optimal Control Theory. Both the linear as well the nonlinear control systems will be studied. The main questions that arise in this theory will be explained. In particular, controllability, time optimality problem, Bang-Bang principle, Pontryagin maximum principle, existence of optimal solutions etc. Furthermore, applications will be provided.
