Course objectives
At the end of the course the student will be able to understand the issues of the structure and dynamics of personality and will be able to explain particular components of personality, its motivation and the ways to stimulate its development. He will be able to analyse, evaluate and interpret the behaviour and perception of the pupils and the biological, social and personal determinants of the development of personality.
Syllabus
  • 1. Psychology of personality as a theoretical and practical field of psychology. Psychology of personality within the system of sciences 2. Classification of psychic phenomena. Cognitive, emotional and volitional processes, states and characteristics. Psyche. Behaviour and experiencing. >
  • 3. Basic psychic qualities of personality. Their biological, social and personal determinants. Theory of layers of personality. P> 4. Bodily, gender and expressional qualities of the personality. Basic theoretical conceptions ( eg. Kretschmer, Lersch ).
  • 5. Temperament and personality. Emotionality.
  • 6. Abilities and creativity. > Imagination, memory, learning. The importance of speech (spoken, written) for the development of personality. > Graphotherapy a verbotherapy. Face to face and correspondence education. > Procreative and anticreative factors.
  • 7. Character. > Volitional qualities pf personality. Qualities related to other people. > Qualities related to work. Qualities related to self. > Qualities related to transpersonal values.
  • 9. Structural qualities of personality. Normality a abnormality. Simplexity a differentiation. > Originality a conventionality.
  • 10. Motivation a stimulation of personality. Needs, > instincts, interests, values, life composition.
  • 11. Determinants > of the development of the personality. Biological, social and self-regulatory factors in the development of the personality.
