Course objectives
Teaching objectives:
* to check the acquired knowledge and skills practically during fieldwork,
* to apply a balanced attitude to the research of geographical reality (rural and urban area),
* to encourage both team and individual activities with the emphasis on personal development of the students,
* to prepare the students for fieldwork,
* to lead the students to social communication, skills of acting and negotiating with institutions, firms, communities,
* to present the acquired knowledge and work out a summary report.
Syllabus
  • During the fieldwork:
  • a) Geographical issues will be demonstrated in visited areas
  • b) Assigned tasks will be studied and solved independently
  • c) Micro-research, investigation, enquiry will be done
  • d) Documentary records will be kept
  • After the fieldwork the results of studied issues will be presented at a mini-conference and a final situation report will be worked out.
