Course objectives
The development of public administration within the Czech Republic since the half of 19. century till the formation of Czechoslovakia. Public administration during the 1st republic. Public administration in the Czech Republic until the end of 1989. State administration and territorial administration in chosen European countries, development, up-to-date situation and perspectives - countries of Central Europe. Countries of Western Europe. Countries of Southern Europe. Scandinavian countries. Transforming countries of Central and Eastern Europe. European Charter of territorial administration from 1985, Constitution of the Czech Republic. Administrative reform in the Czech Republic and problems of decentralisation. Role and function of the government of the Czech Republic in relation to territorial administration. State administration and territorial administration of towns with respect to statutory towns. Geographical preconditions for territorial administration in the Czech Republic.
