- Course objectives
- Introduction to the study of geomorphology. Object of study. History of geomorphology.
Physical basis of the geomorphological processes.
Systematic geomorphology. Morfography. Morfographic terminology as a terminological basis of geomorphology. Morphometry. Morphometrical analysis and synthesis.
Morphogenesis. Struktural geomorphology. Basic types of morphostructures (horizontál, dipping, etc.), active and passive morphostructures. Dynamic geomorphology. Geomorphological impact of the water streams. Processes of slope modelation and slope development. Karst processes. Geomorphologic processes acting in arid climamorphological areas. Geomorphologic action of glaciers. Shore modelation. Relief of the sea bottom.
Types of relief. Time as a development factor of the shapes of the earth surface. Morphostratigrafy and denudation chronology. - Literature
