Course objectives
The aim of the subject is to present practical aspects of the fundamentals of analog and digital cartography and geoinformatics.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to:
- understand and apply the fundamentals of analog and digital cartography and geoinformatics;
- use GIS softwares.
Syllabus
  • Exercises are connected to the realized lectures: 1. Basic terminology in the field of cartography and geoinformatics. 2. Introduction to GIS. 3. Data models and basics of editing. 4. Spatial datasets and web map services. 5. Definitions and methods of generalization in GIS. 6. Map composition. 7. National map series, map sheet index.
