Course objectives
The students will understand ordered sets in deep. They will master thinking in the area of abstract algebra and applications.
Syllabus
  • Basics on ordered sets and lattices. The issues from universal algebra are elaborated for concrete structures.

Teaching methods
With the help of an instructor, the students solve various problems, mainly practical ones. Also certain theoretical ones are considered.
Assessment methods
For a credit needed: an active participation at seminars (missing sessions at most 3), a successful written final test taking one hour and consisting of two problems (a half of points is needed).
