  • Teoretical basis for data communication, coding, bandwidth, maximum rates.
  • Transmission media.
  • Data coding for transmission, PCM, T-system, SDH/SONET, modem, codec.
  • Multiplexing, switching, synchronization, error controlpřepojování.
  • Telephone system, satelites, radio networks, SONET/SDH, ISDN, B-ISDN / ATM
  • Data link layer, HDLC/LAP/LAPB
  • LAN medium access sublayer, LANs protocols.
  • Routing, internetworking, Internet.
  • Transport layer, TCP/IP.
