Course objectives
Important topics of modern real-time rendering are discussed. The focus is on special effects such as shadows, lighting and shading methods such as normal mapping as well as advanced algorithms in shading, visibility and levels of detail.
The rendering pipeline and hardware architecture as well as common programming interfaces are shown in conjunction with practical implementation approaches.
