Course objectives (in Czech)
This course will provide practical applications for English including speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Students will improve their facility with the language through discussions, exercises, and assignments. The course will provide opportunities to explore various techniques of language learning and teaching, while developing a broader understanding of the cultural context. The goal of this course is to maximize the use of English in both spoken and written forms through activities designed to give students a variety of formats for improving language skills.

  • MOODLINKA Topic outline Welcome back! Although this semester is short, we are going to cover many things, have ample opportunities for talking, and hopefully enjoy ourselves at the same time. We will use a new format since we won't have a textbook. You will find a weekly topic, vocabulary list, two articles and grammar exercises for each class session. Assessment methods (in Czech)
This course is based on 100 points that will be divided among the following activities: Class participation 15 points One minute talk (4) 20 points Reflection writing (3) 45 points Essay (1) 20 points Total maximum 100 points Students must achieve a minimum of 65% to pass the course successfully.
