Course objectives
The course aims to initiate professional teaching competence in students through provision of links between theory and their own practical experience. The list of specific topics to be covered will be generated by a needs analysis. The students will be able to: - describe and analyse their own or observed sequences of classroom teaching in the areas of teaching skills and subskills; - understand and explain main principles of teaching skills and subskills; - evaluate and create activities for classroom use in the areas of teaching skills and subskills.

  • 1. Introduction and needs analysis. The syllabus will be generated on the basis of needs analysis outcomes.

Assessment methods
Requirements: active participation in sessions (80%)or a test, submitting a portfolio, two contributions in discussion forums on moodlinka, end-of-term interview. Type of teaching: workshop, group discussion, problem solving.
