Course objectives
Students will design and carry out a small-scale action research. This experience aims to develop in students: the ability to analyse the complex classroom teaching experience; strategies and techniques to address the identified problem; the ability to evaluate the effectiveness of the selected interventions.
Syllabus
  • Action research provides an opportunity for individualised and diffentiated reflective practice as a key strategy for professional development. The team work format will develop cooperative skills in students. Final presentation of action research outcomes will enhance students´ communicative / presentation skills and disseminate individual experience amongst the group of trainees.

Assessment methods
Students will work in groups to design and carry out action research. Practicing and non-practicing student teachers will mix in groups working on the task as a team. In the end of the research they will submit a report.
