Course objectives
The course 'Practical language' is focused on the development of real-life communicative skills at advanced level by means of creative grammar work, personalized speaking tasks, lexis presented in context and realistic listening and reading. The main aim is to promote learning and achieve progress by focusing on personal engagement.
Syllabus
  • The course is based on New English Advanced book coursebook. This term Units 3 and 4 will be covered with equal attention paid to reading, speaking and listening skills. Additional work (grammar, listening, vocabulary work) will be incorporated where appropriate according to the students' needs. Topics discussed: Future and technology, Law and Crime, Challenges and Achievements. Other materials (for homework and coursework) are available from Moodlinka - Linguistics - course Inside Out Advanced (Additional materials).
