Course objectives
The course aims to map out the connections of the British history and literature from the beginnings till the twentieth century. In the seminar students are to read, analyse, interpret and discuss selected works and extracts. The goal of the course is to acquaint students with chief works, authors and topics in the historical and social context of the relevant periods, so that the students gain a broader and more concise insight into British life and culture.
