Course objectives
A necessary part of physical chemistry are calculations, as they make a quantitative description of physico-chemical phenomena possible. The aim of the seminar is:
- to teach the students to apply the physico-chemical formula and lows for solving physicoe-chemical calculating .
Syllabus
  • 1. Phase states.
  • 2. Bases of thermodynamics.
  • 3. Phase equilibria
  • 4. Chemical thermodynamics.
  • 5. Solutions of electrolytes.
  • 6. Galvanic cells and electrode phenomena.
  • 7. Bases of chemical kinetics.
  • 8. Colloid systems.
  • 9. Chosen optical methods.

Teaching methods
Type of classwork:
Seminar focused on physico-chemical calculations
Assessment methods
Termination - one of the following three possibilities:
a) 10 correctly calculated protocols (follow instructions of the teacher)
b) at least 60 % points in the final credit-test
c) at least 3 correctly solved calculation examples in the exam test (exam on required course Physical Chemistry).
