Course objectives
The aim of the course is:

- to learn more about nuclear chemistry, as this problem is commonly discussed just 3 hours as a part of compulsory subject General Cemistry.
- to practice english language focused on chemistry.
Syllabus
  • NUCLEAR DECAY: Spontaneous Nuclear Decay. Nuclear Reactions. The Pattern of Nuclear Stability. Predicting the Type of Nuclear Decay. Nucleosynthesis.
  • NUCLEAR RADIATION: The Biological Effects of Radiation. Measuring the Rate of Nuclear Decay. Uses of Radioisotopes.
  • NUCLEAR ENERGY: Mass-Energy Conversion. Nuclear Fission. Nuclear Fusion. The Chemistry of Nuclear Power.
