Course objectives
The lecture in the form of selected topics covers the production in Czech literature between the years 1968-1989. The topics are organised into sections of poetry, prose and drama (enriched with insights into the literary studies of the period). Talking about poetry and prose, the emphasis is put on the samizdat and exile literature, including a brief outline of so-called official production. The section of drama uses a monographical method, while the continuity of the literary process is followed through the similarity in themes of some of the works created in the studied period.
