Course objectives
Seminar is devoted to the problems of work on the new grammar of Czech and is intended for the students of master, eventually doctoral programme (also students of the last year of bachelor studies can participate). The goal is to deepen and extend the linguistics knowledge and strategical skills at the text analysis.
Syllabus
  • In the seminar the modern methods of linguistics work are discussed, i. e. with regard to the interests and knowledge of the students. Emphasis is placed on application factors, namely on training the strategical skills at linguistic analysis of the Czech texts. Thematic plan: phonological system of Czech, lexikology, morphology (including wordformation), syntax, stylistics, sociolinguistics and pragmatics, development dynamism of both standard and substandard Czech – „external history“ of Czech, theory of Czech ortography.

General note: Předpokladem pro zapsání předmětu je zájem o jazykovědnou problematiku popisu češtiny a předchozí průprava. Předmět je rozdělen do několika dílčích disciplín, které učí různí vyučující.
