Course objectives
The aim of the seminar is to practise knowledge acquired in the other parts of the course and to learn to frame administrative documents correctly, especially to understand principles of appropriate keeping official correspondence, and for a written discourse in the administrative connections, to be able to use the adequate linguistic features in lexical, morphological, syntactical and stylistic level.
At the end of the course a participant:
a) will understand principles of appropriate keeping official correspondence, frame administrative documents in accordance with norms and binding rules of the Czech language and Czech orthography;
b) will be able to explain differences between various kinds of administrative documents and use this knowledge when s/he is drawing them up.
Syllabus
  • 1. Introduction to business correspondence.
  • 2. Normative regulations (ČSN 01 6910, ČSN 88 6101.
  • ) 3. Normalized adjustment of documents.
  • 4. Documents related to company organisation and management (during work meetings, personal documents, basic legal documents, personal letters of chief workers etc.).
  • 5. Linguistic respect for framing administrative documents (vocabulary, syntactical and stylistic requirements).
  • 6. Practice of writing administrative documents.

Practical examination in writing administrative correspondence on the basis of model instructions, a correction of deficiencies and mistakes in administrative correspondence.
