Course objectives
The course aims to introduce forms, nature and options of the current literary criticism. The topics related to current literary criticism are going to be analyzed during the semester in order to develop better understanding of the subject in its current state.
Course is based on discussions and active work with artistic and critical texts. Added value of this course lies in the usage of up-to-date literature (2017, 2018).
Final work of the course is going to be a prototype of custom-made literary journal - students are going to design both form and content of the journal and arrange (in cooperation with the instructor) the way/range of their participation on this collective project.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students should have better understanding of contemporary Czech literal criticism. Students will get to know different forms of criticism in profesisonal literary journals, daily press and on the internet.
