Course objectives
The course describes current genres and topics in world literature for children and young adults.
Syllabus
  • The concept of world literature for youth, possibilities of study. International institutions and organizations dealing with literature for children and youth. The contribution of the English and French Enlightenment to literature for youth. Folk fairy tale in various national literatures, the development of artificial fairy tale in the 19th century. The development streams in the literature for youth in the 20th century. Selected representatives of the world literature for youth in the 20th century.
