Course objectives
Students will know the spectrum of national literatures and foreign authors in contemporary readers and textbooks for higher classes of primary schools. Chosen authors - both well and less knonw - will be presented in detail. The applicability of presented information in practice will be accented.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the students - will know the spectrum of national literatures and foreign authors in contemporary textbooks, - will know chosen authors and their literary works, will know possible approaches to them in literary education at primary school (basic biography, texts, interesting facts, information sources).

  • 1. Reader as an anthology of artistic literature. Foreign authors in some contemporary readers and textbooks for higher classes of primary schools. 2. Chosen authors and texts of the oldest period of national literatures - from ancient times to 18th century I. 3 Chosen authors and texts of the oldest period of national literatures - from ancient times to 18th century II. 4. Chosen authors of French literature. 5. Chosen authors of English literature. 6. Chosen authors of American literature. 7. Chosen authors of German literature. 8. Chosen authors of Russian literature. 9. Chosen autors of further national literatures. 10. Slovak literature in readers.
