Course objectives
The aim of the course is to gain a basic overview of health education. Participants are introduced to the basic educational documents and concepts of health education.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, the participant will be able to: - interpret the basic premises of health promotion in the school environment - gain an overview of the implementation of health education in primary schools - gain an overview of organisations involved in the implementation of health promotion and their functioning - understand the different concepts of health education - is familiar with basic educational documents
Syllabus
  • Session 1: The concept of health education in the past and present. Block 2: Educational programmes, RVP ZV, standards of basic education. Block 3: Analysis of educational objectives of health education. Block 4: Educational process, organizational provision of health education at primary school. Block 5: National health promotion programmes. Health promotion programmes in school, health promotion programme as a part of school educational programme. Block 6 - 10: Basic topics of health education (prevention of infectious and non-infectious diseases, old age syndrome, socially pathological phenomena, etc.)
