Course objectives
The aim of the course is to prepare for the final exam in French. During the examination, the doctoral candidate must demonstrate that he/she is able to read and understand a technical text, to follow a specialist lecture and to answer questions that relate to their respective specialty and their own dissertation.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the student is able to:
read academic literature in the field of interest;
understand and use key terminology in the field;
communicate about their research at B1 level;
write their CV and annotation of the studied literature.
Syllabus
  • Written part: The student submits the following materials by email: - annotation of literature (academic text related to the topic of the student's thesis) - information about the topic of the thesis - CV - list of specialized vocabulary from the field of interest Each item should be 1 page long. Oral part: The student presents the thesis, proves the knowledge of terminology and the communicative competence of the level of B1.
